We just closed out on the first month of the new year.
Let me ask you this …
How are those new year’s resolutions holding up?
How did you do last year?
As I look back on 2015 I know that I didn’t accomplish anywhere near enough of what I wanted to accomplish. Some of you are in the same boat.
We always dream of how much we want to do and accomplish. And each year we make new year’s resolutions to be better and to do better.
This year, here’s one resolution you absolutely need to keep …
I know you didn’t take nearly enough action in 2015.
And how much have you gotten done so far in 2016?
There are a handful of agents who I’ve heard share their progress so far in the month of January on Facebook.
Paul Argueta just closed the last deal of the month on the 31st that pushed him over $4 million in personal real estate sales production so far.
His advice (and I quote him directly):
- Find a person who is achieving the results you want to achieve
- Duplicate whatever it is that they are doing without question (this is the most important part)
- Do what they do more than they do it

Fredrik Eklund just had the biggest month in his 13-year real estate career with over $200 million in closings and contracts signed in the month of January.
What are you doing to build that kind of reputation and referral business for yourself to sell real estate for years to come?

Amy Izzo’s entering her second year of real estate. She did $7.6 million in transactions last year with an average sale of $250,000. She plans to do $15 million this year and is already starting the year with $4.8 million in her pipeline.

Here’s Maura Carey Neill’s update just a few days ago:
What do they all have in common?
- Focus
- Drive
- Action
And the desire to succeed. They’re putting in the work each and every day.
There’s No Shortcut To Success
There are no shortcuts. There’s no magic bullet.
You either put in the work and get results, or you don’t.
It’s like Leigh Brown said in her keynote at Inman Real Estate Connect in New York:
“You know what’s going to help you sell 100 listings? HUSTLE! The one’s who hustle succeed.”
At the end of each and every day, ask yourself:
Did I execute?
Did I get something done today that’s going to help me get closer towards my goal(s)?
And understand your “Why” The better you understand your why, the more action you will take.
