Last Friday, my good friend Dustin Luther invited me to a live video chat with David Arquette at his Propr Clothing store (an interview hosted by the famous Shira Lazar). The evening was wild and fun as the two took the live-stream and interviewed guests both inside and outside the store. Heck David even gave away clothing to folks who modeled his clothing line on live tv (proof here)! In any case, the evening worked out well enough that Dustin got to brainstorming and decided why not do something creative and similar at this year’s NAR Conference in San Diego…
Capturing the Hallway Conversations at NAR 2009:
The idea is simple, we’re going to use Dustin’s company, Spinnio, to capture some of the best and most interesting conversations taking place at the conference (and as you all know, some of the best conversations happen in the hallways). For those of you that aren’t at the conference, this is your chance to take a part in all of the dialogue and fun! We’re basically going to stream live video conversations to Spinnio.com throughout the weekend with our kick-off interview(s) taking place at REBarCamp San Diego. I believe our first victim (err…guest) is Eric Bryn with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World at 3:00pm PST.
If you wanna get in on the action and ask questions directly to the interviewees, it’s simple… Head on over to Spinnio.com where you’ll be able to leave comments directly on the page using either Facebook or Twitter (pretty simple eh?). Basically, it’s not just a live-stream… It’s an interactive live-stream where you can ask questions from two of the most popular social networks so you can get in on the action from virtually anywhere in the world (while you’re in your fuzzy bunny slippers).
The only catch with this whole little operation, is that we basically have no idea when/where we’re going to turn the camera on… (although we expect it to be often). We’re basically going to find where all the action is, and when we locate it, it’s: Lights. Camera. Action!
If you want to get and stay notified, make sure to follow Spinnio on Twitter, where we’ll do our best to give some head’s up! (Won’t hurt to also make sure you’re following @tyr and @ribeezie since I’m sure we’ll be letting people know through those accounts as well)
And finally, if you know someone who should get some time on Spinnio (maybe you!), let me know. As I “confirm” guests for specific times, I’ll update this post!
Who do you want us to interview?
If there’s someone in particular you’d like us to chase down and interview, drop a comment below. If you’re coming to REBarCamp San Diego and/or NAR 2009 and would like to be interviewed, get in touch with Dustin or myself (or leave a comment below) to set up a time for an interview. We’d love to have you!
Sponsorships:
We are currently accepting sponsorships for promotion on the main-page at Spinnio.com in the form of a 160×160 ad. Advertisements will remain on the archives page once the live-stream is over and indexed. Water mark sponsorships for the live video stream are also available. If you’re interested in either of these, you can contact us directly at (323) 448-0389 or via email at ricardo@ricardobueno.com.

Missy: it should be lots of fun! The only challenge is that we won't have a “set” schedule but we'll do our best to announce when we're going on the air for sure! Just follow the Twitter account and revisit this post for “Updates” and you'll be set. Otherwise, we look forward to having you and others participate! Basically, you'll be attending the conference from the comfort of your home (gotta love that) 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and look forward to seeing you around here some more!

Hiya Janie! It's definitely been a lot of fun putting the live-stream together… So cool some of the things that you can do with it. Sorry that the feed was a little choppy and some points but we're trying 🙂
Thank you so much for participating and helping spread the word!

would be a great concept to try for a really popular open house 😉
Ricardo Bueno says
if it's an interesting enough property and you can set up a fun environment for people to talk and hang out, I think it could work. We've definitely been brainstorming a few creating uses for it and so far, everything seems to be coming along…
