I’ve managed to spend some time on Google+. Over all, I like the experience there (better than Facebook). Maybe that’s because fewer people are on there, or because I find it easier to organize people into “Circles.”
Whatever it is, I’m a fan.
But how can I encourage my blog visitors to connect with me on Google+ if they like the experience there like I do?
Simple. Use this…
Google+ WordPress Plugin:
Install and Activate the googleCards WordPress plugin from plusdevs. To do so:
- Log into your WordPress Dashboard,
- Click on “Add New” under Plugins,
- Search for “googleCards” – then install and activate the plugin
Then, click on widgets and click & drag the Google Card widget into the appropriate area on your sidebar. Insert your Google Plus ID and you’re set to go.
Your Google Plus ID is simply the last string of digits in your Google Profile URL:
How are you using Google+?
So far, I’m using Google+ to find content, crowdsource ideas, ask and answer questions. I’m not sharing as much as I would on a network like Twitter, but then, I haven’t spend much time there.
How are you using Google+? What have you found helpful?
